Consortium Meeting in Barcelona

On Monday 4th November, under heavy rains and floods, we met in Barcelona for our last consortium meeting of the year and probably of CREST project.

Quoting Ingrid Hansgaard Gjelsvik, one of our project partners representing Møre og Romsdal fylkeskommune:

“The recent floods here in Spain have been a stark reminder of how urgent this work truly is. Climate adaptation isn’t just a theoretical need; it’s a critical priority. By leveraging digital twins, we can equip citizens with tools and knowledge to be active participants in building resilient, sustainable futures.”

We felt as never before the importance of the work we do in CREST and how urgent is climate change adaptation for urban coastal areas, but also how vital is the way we communicate and engage citizens.

In these last months of the projects, ending the 31 March 2025, a series of on-line and on-site dissemination events will be organized, in order to share CREST best practices and outcomes, engaging even more citizens and stakeholders to be part of the solution of robust and resilient responses to climate change.
